Cacao, like all plants, has a spirit. Her spirit comes from the Theobroma Tree. Of Greek Roots, Theo “God” & Broma “Food” translating to Food of the Gods. Her name, Cacao, comes from the Spanish adaptation of the Mayan name for the tree: kakaw. She is soft, yet she is strong. Whilst Cacao is a feminine spirit, she can help you to embody masculine energy as well, bringing Harmony into your life. She nurtures us through deepening our connection to self. If worked with intentionally, she is a powerful plant teacher. She weaves Earth Energy through us as she ignites a sense of oneness within the depths of our being. Cacao’s exotic seeds are a rich, indulgent spiritual partner to journey with. There is a reason her influential, impressive essence has appeared in many cultures worldwide for centuries. She is a gift for humans from Mama Earth. She brings reciprocity and should be consumed with respect, intention and gratitude. She shares nourishing medicine to open our hearts whilst moving stagnant energy through our core. She is full of nutrients. Containing serotonin and tryptophan, she is able to raise endorphins in the body which in turn can work with our heart space to create an expansive joy. Endorphins and neuro chemicals in the brain which are released can calm stress while easing our nervous system. Cacao contains fibre which can cleanse our digestion system of impurities. Her feminine spirit carries Magnesium, a wonderful medicine to ease cramps during a women’s bleed. Magnesium is an essential mineral found in the body which takes care of rhythm of our heart, regulates blood pressure and blood sugar.
